July 3rd, Trip to Einsiedln and Abbey

No school today (saturday) so we decide to travel; a group of us from Fresno St. all go to Einsiedln, to go see the only functioning 12th century Benedictine Abbey in Switzerland. The town is located on the eastside (german speaking)of Switzerland, south of Zurich. So we needed an early start.

The farmers market was going on so we decided to grab breakfast here. It resulted in a great experience with food and culture, but we missed our train. No worries though cause we caught the next one 20 min. later.

Nuclear power is used for all of Switzerland's electrical needs.

No pictures allowed inside. We walked in during a service and we all were able to hear the monks' chant or sing. It was pretty awesome.

Out of the rain and into Dinner. Red wine made for the local Abbey and beef stroganoff with roasted red pepper sauce.

Going back to Morge. Local german beer was found before we left.
